Italian dish
Spaghetti Carbonara is a traditional Italian dish that has been enjoyed for generations. It is a simple, yet flavorful meal, made with just a few ingredients. The main components of a Carbonara dish are spaghetti, pancetta, eggs, and Parmesan cheese.
To start, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. When the water is boiling, add the spaghetti and cook until it is al dente. While the pasta is cooking, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the pancetta. Fry the pancetta until it is crisp and golden brown.
Once the pasta is cooked, drain it and reserve one cup of the cooking water. Add the cooked spaghetti and reserved cooking water to the skillet with the pancetta and stir to combine. Then, reduce the heat to low and add the eggs and Parmesan cheese. Stir constantly until the eggs are cooked and the sauce is creamy.
Serve the spaghetti Carbonara immediately with extra Parmesan cheese, if desired. Enjoy!
