Ingredients:

– 2 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour
– 2 teaspoons of baking powder
– 1/2 teaspoon of salt
– 1/2 cup (1 stick) of butter, softened
– 1 1/2 cups of white sugar
– 2 eggs
– 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
– 1 cup of milk

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans.

2. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt.

3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
