Everyone loves a classic cake recipe! Whether it’s for a birthday, a special occasion or just a sweet treat, a classic cake is always a hit. We’ve got a delicious and simple white cake recipe that will be sure to please.

Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and line two 8-inch cake pans with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, whisk together 2 cups (250 grams) of all-purpose flour, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Set aside.

In a large bowl, beat together 1 cup (200 grams) of granulated sugar, 1 cup (226 grams) of softened butter, and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract until light and fluffy.

Add 3 large eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients in two batches, mixing until just combined.

Divide the batter evenly between the two cake pans and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cakes comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cool, frost the cakes with your favorite buttercream frosting or top with a simple dusting of powdered sugar. Enjoy!
