Parmesan
Spaghetti Carbonara is a classic Italian dish that is easy to make and equally enjoyable to eat. This delicious pasta dish is made with spaghetti, pancetta or bacon, eggs, and Parmesan cheese. The secret to achieving the perfect Carbonara lies in the combination of ingredients and the technique used to prepare it.
To begin, bring a large pot of water to a boil and add a generous amount of salt. When the water is boiling, add the spaghetti and cook until al dente, stirring occasionally. Once cooked, reserve 1 cup of the pasta water and drain the spaghetti.
In a large skillet, heat some oil and fry the pancetta or bacon until it’s crispy. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and mix everything together.
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and Parmesan cheese, then add a few tablespoons of the reserved pasta water. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet and mix everything together. The heat from the skillet will cook the egg mixture and create a creamy sauce.
Continue to cook for a few minutes, stirring continuously until the Carbonara sauce is thick and creamy. Serve the Carbonara with some freshly grated Parmesan cheese and enjoy!
